Cirebon, April 24, 2026 — The 2026 Economic Census (SE2026) Socialization and Joint Filling Out (Ngibar) activity took place at the Cirebon City Financial Services Authority (OJK) office as an effort to strengthen synergy between the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) and the OJK in ensuring the success of the economic census.

The Head of the Cirebon City OJK, Agus Muntholib, expressed the OJK's commitment to fully support the SE2026 activities. He emphasized that economic conditions cannot be assessed solely by a single indicator, making the data collected through the census a crucial foundation for policy formulation. The OJK will also oversee the data collection process, including by facilitating communication through the coordination group. He emphasized that data accuracy is crucial for the quality of the resulting policies. Furthermore, the participation of financial services institutions in data submission is considered a real contribution to national development.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Cirebon City BPS, Samiran, S.Si., M.T., stated that the 2026 Economic Census will cover all business sectors, including the agricultural sector. He emphasized that data has a strategic role in determining the direction of government policy, especially in addressing issues such as inflation and poverty.

This activity is expected to encourage businesses, particularly in the financial services sector, to actively participate in completing the SE2026 data. The resulting data is expected to be widely used as a basis for more targeted economic planning and policymaking.
