The Head of the Statistics Indonesia (BPS) of West Java Province, Margaretha Ari Anggorowati, attended and served as a resource person at a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) organized by the West Java Regional Development Planning Agency (Bappeda) on Wednesday (April 1). The event was also attended by the Head of the West Java Bappeda, Dedi Mulyadi, along with the Head of the Economic and Natural Resources Division of the West Java Bappeda, Eka Jatnika Sundana, as well as Sutrisno, an Associate Expert Planner at the West Java Bappeda, and representatives from other regional government agencies.
In her presentation, the Head of the West Java BPS emphasized that the integration of the National Socioeconomic Single Data (DTSEN) and the 2026 Economic Census is not simply a data collection activity, but a collaborative effort to present a true picture of community conditions. Accurate and up-to-date data will ensure that every government program is truly targeted and benefits the community.
She also emphasized that the DTSEN is dynamic and requires continuous updating through cross-agency collaboration and community support. Active community participation is key, from providing accurate data to supporting the data collection process in the field.
The 2026 Economic Census is expected to capture the economic potential of the community, from MSMEs to digital-based businesses. With this data, business opportunities can expand, jobs can be created, and community welfare can be improved.
The Head of the West Java Regional Development Planning Agency (Bappeda), Dedi Mulyadi, emphasized the importance of synergy between all parties so that the data generated can truly be used in development planning with real impact.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Economic and Natural Resources Division of the West Java Bappeda, Eka, encouraged all regional officials to actively support the census, not only through coordination but also through joint outreach at the community level.
Through collaboration between the government, businesses, and the community, it is hoped that the DTSEN and the 2026 Economic Census will not only produce data but also serve as a foundation for change towards a more prosperous and competitive West Java. Click here
