Annual Survey 2025: Hotel and Accommodation Occupancy Rates are a Key Focus

Cirebon, May 22, 2025 - The Central Bureau of Statistics of Cirebon City has conducted a briefing of field officers covering the Simple Level Hotel Survey (VHTS) and the Advanced Hotel Survey (VHTL). This activity aims to obtain accurate data on room occupancy rates and average length of stay of guests in various types of hotels in the Cirebon area.

This survey was conducted to collect important data related to the number of rooms used from the total available rooms in star and non-star hotels. The two main indicators recorded in this survey are:

1.    Room Occupancy Rate, which is the percentage of room usage by guests,

2.    Average Length of Stay, both by domestic and foreign guests.

Previous survey results show that foreign guests tend to stay longer than domestic guests. This is related to business interests or project work in Cirebon and the surrounding area.

In addition to the accommodation survey, briefing activities on May 21 to 25, 2025 also included surveys for the domestic goods trade, warehousing, expedition and courier sectors. All data collected will be an important foundation in policy-making for the development of the tourism sector and accommodation services.

With this survey, it is hoped that the government and tourism industry players can identify demand trends and improve the quality of accommodation services according to the needs of tourists.
